Weed Control Begins With
Pre-Emergent Herbicide

With the rapidly warming weather, many are asking when will crabgrass germinate? The reason this is so important is because pre-emergence herbicides, used to control crabgrass, must be applied prior to emergence to have any real effect, since they work by preventing weed seeds from germinating in the first place.  If crabgrass gets out of hand, it will over-power existing grasses and can damage your lawn. You will usually see crabgrass by the edge of the road, edges of walkways or anywhere your lawn is thin or non-existing. It is much easier to prevent crabgrass before it has a chance to form and fully mature. So before your lawn is taken over by ugly weeds, consider a pre-emergent treatment while you still have time.
